Oh, the Places You’ll Go!

The book’s theme of continuous change and novel experiences has certainly held true. I found the story to be surprisingly realistic in it’s proportionality of “good/successful” versus “bad/challenging” situations arising. Whether intended or not, I found a strong message from the tale’s young protagonist was consistent forward motion is paramount to a successful life.

All in all, 2023 was another great year. And although I’m not a fan of cold weather, I’m struck how blessed I am to have Clooney and the amazing David Krempels Brain Injury Center community to return back to: Have a blessed 2024!

Wow, don’t I have egg on my face!

While the expression may have its’ origins in a situation of social embarrassment, my experience yesterday was one of the internal variety. To set the stage… As you may have picked up on in previous posts, one of the blessings in my life is the opportunity that I have to share my experience with others, particularly students through ThinkFirst. ThinkFirst is a National Injury Prevention Foundation with the mission to prevent brain, spinal cord, and other injuries through education, research, and advocacy.

Disney: A Magical Place…or can everywhere be?

As I sit here trying to capitalize on a little downtime, watching Nora entertain her parents and quite a few other smiling travelers, it seems this 40 year old bachelor isn’t leaving Disney with mouse ears, although if I wasn’t so cheap I may grabbed a pair. Rather, the takeaway is a needed reminder to be where my feet are and that everything isn’t going to be ok…it already is.
