A Final Push

A term that seems to have come into the current day lexicon is Humblebrag. Now, I only bring up this form of modest bragging to preface the latest More Than a Speed Bump post as I guess you could say it is itself a little braggadocious! Regardless, I share the following shot of inspiration not to boast, but out of gratitude.

While the expression may have its’ origins in a situation of social embarrassment, my experience yesterday was one of the internal variety. To set the stage… As you may have picked up on in previous posts, one of the blessings in my life is the opportunity that I have to share my experience with others, particularly students through ThinkFirst. ThinkFirst is a National Injury Prevention Foundation with the mission to prevent brain, spinal cord, and other injuries through education, research, and advocacy.

Disney: A Magical Place…or can everywhere be?

As I sit here trying to capitalize on a little downtime, watching Nora entertain her parents and quite a few other smiling travelers, it seems this 40 year old bachelor isn’t leaving Disney with mouse ears, although if I wasn’t so cheap I may grabbed a pair. Rather, the takeaway is a needed reminder to be where my feet are and that everything isn’t going to be ok…it already is.
