Gratitude

Just like they do with me, whether it be Sophie, Clooney, or even a memorable dog in market square; our canine companions bring shots of joy to us humans lives'…even if it is 4:30 in the morning!

I choose to think that God is Love and Love is God. Fortunately for me that Power works through living things, with me experiencing an abundance of it through my life. Whether the amazing medical and rehabilitative care I received, the recovery fellowship, inspiration and support of David Krempel’s vision at KBIC, true friends, and my amazing family; my gratitude for the grace I’ve received can’t be overstated: Happy 250th America and Thank You!       

Don't cry because he's gone, smile for the joy he gave!

Here was a man facing mortality and in tremendous pain, with complete attention on me and my rather insignificant troubles. As we embraced and I prepared to head out, gratitude for his friendship filled me. Driving home I found my sadness from the news overcome with profound wonder at David’s caring heart that he shared with so many.

I’ve got one school saying that the key to satisfaction and internal peace is keen awareness of the world in which I live while another instructs that I’m actually existing in a mirage with the only realm that matters being an invisible or spiritual one.

Originally intended at filling a void in societal knowledge, each March highlights research, prevention and aids available to brain injury survivors, their families, and caregivers.
